FAQ

WHAT IS MINERALUXE

The Mineraluxe Hot Tub Care System is an advanced hot tub care solution that offers a fusion of natural minerals with “cleanse and repel” technology to ensure your hot tub remains clean and comfortable.

The Mineraluxe Cube features an advanced fusion of natural minerals designed to loosen scale and mineral deposits from surfaces and prevent them from reattaching. The system operates on the concept of Fusion Science. It focuses on prevention, leveraging its unique anionic properties to remove scale formations and then repel new deposits, resulting in a cleaner hot tub environment.

Mineraluxe Oxygen deep cleanses bather wastes, reducing odours and providing the ultimate in water comfort and clarity. Following the addition of the Mineraluxe Cube, apply 1 pouch of Mineraluxe Oxygen per 1,500 litres (300 gallons) of hot tub water. Sprinkle it across the water with the high-speed pump operating and leave the cover off for a minimum of 15 minutes.

Choose a sanitizer that best fits your lifestyle. We offer four options: Brominating Granules or Tablets and Chlorinating Granules or Tablets. For ease, we recommend using Bromine or Chlorine Tablets.

Yes, the system replaces all stain and scale products, clarifiers, enzyme cleaners, and water enhancers/softeners.

For a typical hot tub owner, the Mineraluxe Hot Tub Care System costs less than your daily cup of coffee, providing great value.

The system includes built-in moisturizers, offering a sensation akin to a velvet glove wrapping around your body.

Use one Mineraluxe Cube weekly, and two at every fresh fill of your hot tub.

After each fresh fill or initial conversion to Mineraluxe, apply 2 cubes per 2,000 litres (500 gallons) of hot tub water. For weekly maintenance, apply 1 cube per 2,000 litres (500 gallons).

Apply as frequently as required to maintain a sanitizer residual of 3-5 ppm.

Yes, the system reduces the quantity of bromine or chlorine needed. It's essential to adjust the quantity of tablets or granules accordingly and regularly check using a test kit or strips.

The Mineraluxe system significantly reduces the dry, harsh effects of soaking in a hot tub, making it feel like soaking in a mineral bath after a spring rain. It also reduces the smell of sanitizer which is a common complain from hot tub users.

No, unlike other systems, there’s no need to “purge” your water before draining and replacing it.

The Mineraluxe system's mineral composition can improve the hydrotherapy experience through ‘micro-bubble enhancement.' This results in a more intense experience with smaller air bubbles creating a massage-like effect.

Frequently asked questions : CHEMICALS

To maintain a clean and healthy hot tub, you'll typically need:

  • A sanitizer (chlorine or bromine)
  • pH balancers (pH Up and pH Down)
  • Alkalinity increaser
  • Calcium hardness increaser
  • Oxygen shock treatment

These chemicals help keep the water clear, kill bacteria, and ensure the longevity of your hot tub components.

Both chlorine and bromine are effective sanitizers, but they have some differences:

Chlorine:

  • Pros: Fast-acting, less expensive
  • Cons: Strong smell, can be harsh on skin and eyes, loses effectiveness quickly at high temperatures

Bromine:

  • Pros: Gentler on skin and eyes, remains effective at high temperatures, less odor
  • Cons: Slightly more expensive, slower to dissolve

Your choice may depend on personal preferences, whether you have sensitive skin, or how often you use your hot tub. But keep in mind that the Mineraluxe system has moisturizers that will greatly increase the overhaul softness of the hot tub water experience.

Chemical amounts depend on tub water volume, current chemical levels, and hot tub usage. Use Aquacheck strips coupled with the app for dosing recommendation. You can also follow Mineraluxe container instructions. Remember, it is best to start small and retest to avoid excess chemicals in your water.

  • Sanitizers: Depending on hot tub use, chlorine or bromine needs to be added weekly or even after each use.
  • pH Balancers: Check levels weekly and adjust as needed.
  • Oxygen Shock Treatment: Typically, once a week or after heavy use.

Regular testing is crucial to know when it's time to add more of each chemical.

It's not advised to mix chlorine and bromine in a hot tub. They differ in pH, effectiveness, and structure. Combining them can destabilize water chemistry and reduce sanitizing power, potentially causing hazardous reactions. If switching sanitizers, drain and refill the tub first. Start fresh by testing the water with the Aquacheck Connect strips. Follow the recommendation. You can always consult each product instructions on its container or ask a professional.
